Business Consultant (Manila, Cebu and Davao)

As a Groupon Philippines Account Executive, your main responsibilities will be to generate & increase feature merchants and to reach and exceed company weekly and monthly targets. Through a consultative approach to client management and sales, you will understand your client’s business in order to construct a mutually beneficial (win/win) offer for our subscribers. You will become a vital part of your merchants’ marketing and business plans through this innovative and fast paced role.

Your Responsibilities

-   Creatively identify deals to be featured, expanding the range of offers for our subscribers
-   Present Groupon as the unique opportunity for businesses to acquire new customers in the Philippines
-   Work closely with your City Manager and Partner Managers to understand the needs of our business merchants and     manage client expectations
-   Explain new products and features to our existing merchants
-   Achieve monthly revenue targets and maintain stand profit margins through consultative sales
-   Proactively seek out new opportunities and maintain a portfolio of Merchants for repeat business
-   Develop and close innovative and structured deals
-   Understand the business model and the best way to present it to merchants
-   Up to date on competitive intelligence and knowledge sharing

Your Skills

-   Bachelor Degree is mandatory, Master’s Degree preferable
-   Minimum of 1 years sales experience
-   Entrepreneurial approach to business and a strong understanding of start-ups essential
-   Experience in pioneering new business coupled with evidence of consistent and current success
-   Strong interpersonal and social skills is a must, face to face, phone and e-mail
-   Network of contacts in the relevant sector is a definite bonus
-   Positive attitude, consultative approach and self-motivation are all essential
-   Ability to work independently 
-   Ability to travel

Shopping & Travel Business Consultant

As a Groupon Philippines Product & Travel Business Consultant, your main responsibilities will be to search and develop partnerships with local and international merchants to reach and exceed company weekly and monthly targets – mainly over the phone but also through face-to-face meetings. Through a consultative approach to client management and phone sales, you will understand your client’s business in order to construct a mutually beneficial (win/win) offer for our subscribers. You will become a vital part of your merchants’ marketing and business plans through this innovative and fast paced role.

Your Responsibilities

-   Identify new business and activities to be featured
-   Creatively identify deals to be featured, expanding the range of offers for our subscribers
-   Present Groupon over the phone, face-to-face, and sign partnership deals on a weekly basis to selected merchants and prospects as the unique opportunity for businesses to acquire new customers in the Philippines
-   Work closely with your City Manager and Partner Managers to understand the needs of our business merchants and manage client expectations
-   Explain new products and features to our existing merchants over the phone
-   Achieve and over exceed on weekly and monthly revenue targets and maintain stand profit margins through consultative sales
-   Proactively seek out new opportunities and maintain a portfolio of Merchants for repeat business
-   Develop and close innovative and structured deals
-   Understand the business model and the best way to present it to merchants
-   Up to date on competitive intelligence and knowledge sharing 

Your Skills

-   Minimum of 1 years’ experience – travel industry, sales, financial broker experience preferred
-   Industry experience with product/travel leads have a competitive advantage
-   Experience in canvassing and relationship building with various types of business, with evidence of consistent and current success
-   Excellent speaking skills (English/Tagalog) and superior phone selling skills – Ability to speak second and third languages a plus
-   Ability to convey your personality over the phone (merchants can hear your smile) and engage the prospect in using Groupon
-   Entrepreneurial approach to business and a strong understanding of start-ups essential
-   Strong problem solving, negotiation skills and proven track record of defining and executing key analyses with minimal supervision
-   Experience in pioneering new business coupled with evidence of consistent and current success
-   Strong interpersonal and social skills is a must, phone and e-mail
-   Network of contacts in the relevant sector is a definite bonus
