A finely crafted cocktail is like a bi-polar spouse: it is
multi-layered, highly flammable, and will put up a fight once you've had one
too many. Stop an argument with inventive sips and savories with today's Sweet
Deal: P250 instead of P500 for 2 cocktails + a choice of Singaporean Crispy Squidheads OR Pork Sisig OR Grilled Chicken Tails at Cerchio Restaurant and Lounge.
Cerchio is Italian for 'circle', used to represent the circle of life, a shape used in sacred geometry, and the delicious edible-equivalent otherwise known as the donut. Done in a contemporary art deco theme, customers walk into the stylishly sleek black-and-white restaurant where they pick a spot to relax and unwind from their hectic day of concrete jungle hunting to admire all the circular and spherical decorations the restaurant has. Pick and choose between their selections of cocktails: Margaritas, Weng Wengs, Zombies, Cosmopolitans, Mai Tais, Amaretto Sours, Pina Coladas, Mojitos, Tequila Sunrises or Caipiroskas to kick-start the evening. Sweet Deal holders may also choose from three delectable appetizer options. The Singaporen Crisy Squid Heads is a favorite Filipino pasalubong for people who had come from the Lion City. The sweet, spicy flavor can be tasted with every crunch of the squid head. The Pork Sisig looks more like 'sisig shots' at first glance. The texture is more chewy than crunchy, like soaked chicharon, although it makes up for it by being leaner than the common sisig dish, with more meat and brain mixed in, topped off with quail eggs. The Chicken Tails is another take on a Filipino favorite, with chicken behinds grilled to a perfect shade, enough to be eaten on its own or dipped in their special sauce before being popped, one-by-one, into hungry mouths.
Cerchio serves up a culinary diversity from Asia and the Mediterranean regions. For diners who need more than cocktails and appetizers to satiate them, try their Herbed Pork Chops (P350), served with Mediterranean vegetables with their signature sauce; Surf and Turf (P650), Tenderloin of beef topped with Onion Marmalade and Blue Cheese as well as grilled prawns served with a side of fries or mashed potato ; Bourbon Ribs (P590), oven baked served with French fries or buttered vegetables; Crispy Binagoongan Baka (P440), served with a bagoong alamang dip; or the Tenderloin of Beef topped with Onion Marmalade and Blue Cheese (P480) is served with either fries or mashed potato.
Filipino food with a sophisticated twist is what Cerchio is about. You’ll never go wrong with any order and a plus is that they have a generous serving.
