We were there with my fiance' last Saturday as his late valentines date for me. The garden was really beautiful and relaxing with its swing chair and wooden hut with cool decorations. We had a dinner in one of the hut and it was so romantic with all the decorative lights and fascinating view of the Taal Lake!! The garden has a built in radio speakers hidden beneath the flower which makes the dinner more romantic! Annnnd the staff were so pleasant and accommodating,thanks to the waiter who lighted our candle and took pictures of us while having dinner hehehe!! We checked in room number 8 at the 2nd floor. It doesn't have a view of Taal Lake since it is at the middle but it's just 1 room away from the balcony where you can sit and enjoy the view of the lake and the garden while having coffee. I love the interior decors of the room especially the round wooden mirror and the Bible inside the drawer! It's touching to see such book instead of fancy magazines that are unnecessary. Supplies are all new, 2 body towels and 3 small towels, toilet is clean, including body lotion which i took home with me hehehe! With wifi too! Overall, Theodore is such a great place to stay in if you want a relaxing weekends/holidays. It's worth more than what you paid for...in short SULIT!!! hehehe!!! Staying at Theodore Hotel was a very relaxing experience for us. Despite our challenging task to find wedding venues in the area in 2 days, the trip became more enjoyable than we expected primarily because of the service of the staff. Everything was clean, complete and in place upon our arrival. We were shown other rooms to see our options. Furniture pieces were more than the basics unlike other hotels. There was an extra daybed and tv armchair; there were complete amenities and stocks were constantly replenished. There were even bedtime cookies every night. Staff were very accommodating, even finding & arranging car rental services we wished to avail outside the hotel. Food at the restaurant was yummy and breakfasts were great! We were encouraged to take it at the outdoor "kubo" with a magnificent view of Taal and we weren't disappointed! All areas & rooms were tastefully done and very artsy. Everyone, even guests without views in their rooms have access to the vista through the nice hallways and lounges. And all these are at a great location - just off the main highway of Tagaytay.
