The experienced instructors of IAFT teach fledgling videographers the art of capturing momentous mementos with a handy dandy Red Cam, a revolutionary digital cinema-oriented camera which speeds up the production and post-production process by a few hours due to its quick boot up and easy breezy upload time. Trainees with intermediate level filmmaking skills with a simple understanding of camera exposure are most encouraged to attend this four-day workshop which will cover basic Red Camera operation, which is no different from the Black Camera except for its spelling. During the workshop, students will have a shot at producing an actual short Film, working with advanced level IAFT students on the short film entitled “Taxi”, plus experience post-production work minus the dreaded video capturing process. The class need not worry about bringing their own equipment as everything will be provided and prepared beforehand for them

July 15th:
- Exposure fundamentals ISO, F-stops, shutter speeds

- Overview of “Taxi” - the short film to be shot in the Red Camera workshop

The International Academy of Film & Television (IAFT) offers courses that combine theory and
application under the expert auspices of leading Hollywood filmmakers serving
as faculty mentors. For this Sweet Deal, newbie directors will guided by the
watchful eye and stseadycam of Mark Gary, a director and a trusted Director of Photography for
commercials of quite a few notable companies, feature films and dozens of family
home videos. The experienced short film and music video director has shot in a
variety of studio and location situations as well as in many formats including
Super 8, 16mm, 35mm, DVCAM, and high definition 24P video. Mark's first feature
film as a director, Sandalang Bahay (The Leaning House) had its European
premiere in Fribourg, Switzerland in March 2006, and had its U.S. premier on
April 27 at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California.
Located in the heart
of Mactan Island, the tropical waterfront campus houses state-of-the-art
facilities for both filming and post-production which allow neophytes to
germinate blueprints for longer theatrical pieces. IAFT highlights their
mastery of the visual arts with lessons on producing, story pitching, creative
shot sequences, and provides necessary gear for continued shooting and finally
