The
experienced instructors of the International Academy
of Film & Television (IAFT) lead intimate classes which hone the shooting
of documentary-worthy ideas. Novice celluloid jockeys can build their professional
portfolio by exploring and investigating
hard-to-access topics such as the ins and outs of
local charities and the riveting progression of real-time beard growth.
Students also have the chance to come up with material geared toward the Rise
Above Foundation in Cebu, a non-profit organization dedicated in assisting underprivileged folk.
The IAFT offers courses that fuse theory and
application under the expert auspices of leading Hollywood filmmakers serving
as faculty mentors. Located in the heart of Mactan Island, the tropical
waterfront campus houses state-of-the-art facilities for both filming and
post-production which thus allow neophytes to germinate blueprints for longer
documentary pieces. IAFT shares their mastery of the visual arts with lessons
on story pitching, creative shot sequences, necessary gear for continued
shooting and finally weaving it all together before the grand premiere.
